Rodney M. Patterson
Shareholder
Rodney M. Patterson’s current trial practice concentrates in insurance defense and construction litigation. His experience includes the representation of clients, both plaintiff and defendant, in a broad spectrum of tort and contract litigation. Rodney is board certified in personal injury trial law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, a career milestone which harkens back to his early days in medical malpractice defense. Rodney has successfully represented health care providers before Texas Courts of Appeal and the Texas Supreme Court.
Rodney has also represented clients in insurance coverage disputes, as well as residential and commercial construction matters. Rodney says that if he were asked to indicate a preference for some particular genre of litigation, it would have to be the subset of construction law that involves personal injury claims on the jobsite. These cases are often complex and massive, and pose special challenges that require the defense lawyer to use skills learned long ago while at the same time developing new experience in emerging fields of construction practice. Rodney provides services as a lecturer at seminars and has taught accredited courses as an adjunct professor for Texas Wesleyan School of Law.
